French Court Orders Deactivation of 4G Tower as Farmer Claims 40 Cows Have Died

La Depeche – Since the installation of this antenna, in July 2021, 200 meters from his farm in Mazeyrat-d’Allier (Haute-Loire), Frédéric Sagères says he has lost around forty cows out of a herd of 200, noting at the same time a significant drop in milk production.

There is reason to order this temporary shutdown of this antenna for a period of two months, given its general implications, with monitoring, by the legal expert, of the behavior of the herd, and dairy cows in particular, over this period“, specified the court in its order. The court gave three months to the state and the operators, including Orange, to carry out the shutdown.

The mayor of Mazeyrat-d’Allier, Philippe Molhérat, who had authorized the installation of the antenna, had testified to the alarming state of the herd, fearing “a catastrophe on the human level” and evoking “the concern” growing of the 1500 inhabitants of the village. The lawyers of the three mobile operators concerned, Orange, Free and Bouygues Telecom had put forward the absence of scientific element establishing a link between animal health and electromagnetic fields.
